| Anthropology and Expertise in the Asylum Courts Anthony Good is Professor of Social Anthropology in Practice at Edinburgh University. His current research on asylum arises out of wide experience as an expert witness in asylum cases. His prior research concerned Hinduism, kinship, and rural development in South India and Sri Lanka, where he formerly taught Physical Chemistry at Peradeniya University. Previous books include Research Practices in the Study of Kinship (1984; with Alan Barnard), The Female Bridegroom (1992), and The Ceremonial Economy of a Royal South Indian Temple (2004). |
