Stephen Cheston, an historian by training, is associate dean of the graduate school at Georgetown University and vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Universities Space Research Association. He has been involved in spacerelated activities since 1975, has established a working group to assess the impact of space on society from a social science and humanities perspective, and was founder of the Institute for the Social Science Study of Space (1978). He is co-editor of Space Humanization Series, Vol. I (with D. Webb; Institute for the Social Science Study of Space, 1979) and author of various articles on space social science. |
