Laura Golding is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Lead Tutor for the NHS-funded North West (England) Clinical Psychology Continuing Professional Development Scheme. She has had a long-standing interest in and involvement with pre- and post-qualification training in clinical psychology. She is a member of the BPS Board of Examiners in Clinical Psychology and Committee on Training in Clinical Psychology and also of the Division of Clinical Psychology's CPD Sub-Committee. Her clinical work is with adults with a learning disability.

Ian Gray is Clinical Director of the Lancaster University Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology. He has a significant role in professional training locally, regionally and nationally. He coordinates, jointly with Laura Golding, the Professional Issues teaching on the Lancaster University Doctoral Programme. His interest in CPD also stems from his responsibility for clinical psychology supervisor training, and his management responsibilities within the NHS.
