![]() | In Praise of Risk Anne Dufourmantelle was born in Paris, France on March 20, 1964. She attended Brown University and received a doctoral degree in philosophy from Paris-Sorbonne University. She was a philosopher and psychoanalyst who praised living a life that embraced risk. She wrote several books including Éloge du Risque (In Praise of Risk).
