Oded Lipschits is Professor of Jewish History in the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures at the Tel-Aviv University, the Director of the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology, and the Incumbent of the Austria Chair of Archaeology of the Land of Israel in the Biblical Period. He directed the excavations at Ramat Raḥel (2005-2010) and is codirector of The Lautenschläger Azekah Expedition (2012 to the present).
