JAMES, P H D, is a Crader Professor of Education at the University of Memphis as well as a licensed psychologist, a licensed professional counselor, and a Nationally Certified School Counselor. He is one of the founders of a crisis intervention prototype used to train police officers across the United States and internationally.

PATRICE MOULTON, P H D, is a professor of psychology at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She is the author of several books on crisis intervention.
