His major publications include The White Peril: Foreign Relations and Asian Immigration to Australasia and North America, 1919-1978 and The Bondi Lifesaver: A History of an Australian Icon.Author Chris Dixon: Chris Dixon is a reader in History at the University of Queensland. His previous publications include Perfecting the Family: Antislavery Marriages in Nineteenth-century America, African America and Haiti: Emigration and Black Nationalism in the Nineteenth Century, and Competing Voices from the Pacific War (with Sean Brawley and Beatrice Trefalt).
