Her research interests include the history of gifted education, parents of gifted children, and homeschooling gifted children.

Jane M. Jarvis is a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University in South Australia, where her research, teaching, and consultancy work with schools focusses on addressing learner diversity through differentiated curriculum and inclusive educational practices, including for gifted students. Jane is an Associate Editor of the Australasian Journal of Gifted Education .
