Pete Swatton was a navigator in the Royal Air Force for 37 years, of which 28 years were spent as an OCU instructor and Wing examiner. On retirement he became an instructor with the Professional Pilot Study Centre at Bournemouth and remained there for 12 years. Currently he is the Chief Ground Instructor for Ground Training Services Ltd at Bournemouth /Hurn airport which specialises in training pilots for the JAA examinations. He is author of Aircraft Performance Theory also published by Blackwell.
