 | English Furniture and its Setting: From the later sixteenth to the early nineteenth century Brett Gerard : GERARD BRETT was born in Belfast, and was educated at schools in Ireland and England and at Oxford. He was Assistant Keeper in the Victoria and Albert Museum from 1938 to 1939 and again from 1946 to 1947. He came to Toronto to take the place of Dr. C. Currelly as Director of the Royal Ontario Museum of Archaeology, and held this position until 1955 when, for reasons of health, he resigned to become Curator of the European Department. Mr. Brett is now Research Curator of this Department. |
