Thomson John W. :

JOHN W. THOMSON , born in Scotland, attended university in the Untied States. He received his B.A. from Columbia University, his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He taught at the Pennsylvania State College Nature Camp, Brooklyn College, State Teachers College in Wisconsin, and the Univeristy of Wisconsin. He had many summers of botanical experience throughout the Arctic region and was a member of the Arctic Institute of North America and the International Society of Plant Taxonomists. He was Chairman and Professor in the Department of Botany at the University of Wisconsin.
