This report, based on surveying done in September 2021, looks closely at how colleges and universities are tackling vaccination delivery, tracking and mandates. The report gives detailed and separate data on the percentage of students and faculty and staff vaccinated. The study also presents data for use of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines. The study also looks at how many students that administrators feel will never take a vaccine and gives data on the percentage of colleges that offer incentives to take the vaccine and the nature of these incentives. In addition, it also looks at the role campus health services expect to play in potential booster shot delivery on campus.Just a few of the report's many findings are that:67.5% of staff at public colleges have been fully vaccinatedColleges with more than 15,000 students FTE had a mean of 2.86 locations for students to get vaccines on campus.50% of the colleges in the sample offered financial or other incentives to students to become vaccinated.Use of Pfizer was most common at research universities where it accounted for 73.29% of vaccines distributed.Data in the report is broken out by size and type of college, by tuition level, for public and private colleges, and for variables such as the percentage of students living in school supplied dormitories and extent of current use of online education. Thirty colleges from the USA and Canada contributed data and commentary for the study.
