Michael Preston-Shoot is Emeritus Professor of Social Work at the University of Bedfordshire. He is Independent Chair of Brent Safeguarding Adults Board and Lewisham Safeguarding Adults Board, and joint convenor of the national network of Safeguarding Adult Board chairs. He works as an independent adult safeguarding consultant.
