Science and Engineering Careers in the United States is the first major academic study to probe the issues that underlie these concerns. Richard B. Freeman holds the Herbert Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University. He is director of the Labor Studies Program at the NBER and is the author of over thirty-five books. Daniel L. Goroff is professor of mathematics and economics at Harvey Mudd College and codirector of the Sloan Scientific and Engineering Workforce Project based at the NBER. |
