Jonathan Pevsner, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University. He holds joint appointments in the Division of Health Sciences Informatics (Johns Hopkins School of Medicine), the Department of Neurology (Kennedy Krieger Institute), and a secondary appointment in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health). He has taught bioinformatics courses since 2000 at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and was awarded Teacher of the Year honors by the Graduate Student Association in both 2001 and 2006, as well as the Professors' Award for Excellence in Teaching awarded by the medical faculty (2003).
