He was an early adopter of surround sound for live events and ushered in 5.1 surround at every sport and venue at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He has spent almost a decade preparing for immersive sound production.

Dennis is the author of A Practical Guide to Television Sound Engineering (Focal Press 2007), published in both English and Chinese. He also authors columns and articles for professional publications, and is a regular speaker to professional television industry groups.
