Berens maintains a nationwide consulting practice specializing in life care planning for children and adults with catastrophic injuries, disabilities, or chronic medical conditions since 1989. She also is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program at Georgia State University.
