DiSalvatore has also served as a state trooper for the New Jersey State Police and received a Distinguished Service Award for actions taken. He played an integral role in the proper execution of disaster recovery plans during Hurricanes Frances, Wilma, and Sandy. DiSalvatore earned an associate's degree in arts and science from Gloucester County College, a bachelor's degree in law/justice from Glassboro State College, and master's degrees in education administration and criminal justice from Seton Hall University and Rutgers University, respectively. DiSalvatore is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International as well as their Gaming and Wagering Protection Council.
