Frone, PhD , is a social-organizational psychologist and a senior research scientist at the Research Institute on Addictions, University at Buffalo, State University of New York. His research has focused on employee mental health, physical health, and substance use. He also has conducted research on stressful life events and alcohol use, the measurement and outcomes of alcohol and marijuana expectancies, and motivational models of alcohol use and alcohol-related problems. Dr. Frone has conducted or collaborated on several national surveys. He has published numerous book chapters and journal articles, and coedited the volumes The Psychology of Workplace Safety and the Handbook of Work Stress . He was an associate editor for the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology and has served on the editorial boards of the J ournal of Applied Psychology , the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology , the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Organizational Research Methods . Dr. Frone also has served as an ad hoc reviewer for 25 scientific journals covering a number of substantive areas, such as organizational behavior and management, psychology and sociology of health, and alcohol and drug use. |
