Masayo Yamamoto is Professor of Bilingualism Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University, Hyogo, Japan. Her previous books, in Japanese, are an introduction to the topic for general readers and a more detailed treatment for specialists. She also has edited books on bilingualism and educational topics. With her American husband, she has raised two bilingual children.
