A career Foreign Service officer working with southern African affairs during most of the last decade, he was in 1979 the first U.S. official to be posted in Rhodesia since the withdrawal of U.S. officials from that country in 1970. During the 1982-198S academic year, Mr. Davidow was a fellow of the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University. |
