Yuanfang Cheng, professor, doctoral supervisor, and expert with special government allowance of the State Council, has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and researching rock mechanics in petroleum engineering. He has published 3 textbooks and monographs, published more than 200 papers, 100 of which have been published in international journals, and served as the editorial board of many journals such as Journal of Applied Basic and Engineering Science and Petroleum Drilling Technology. He was a visiting researcher at Heriot-Watt University in 2004 and has given more than 10 academic reports at several international conferences.
